4. UFC Knights

Rank: No. 20, Opponent: Navy Midshipmen

Calling the UCF Knights the best team in the country that no one is talking about would be an adequate assessment. Despite being ranked only 20th in the latest AP Poll, the Knights are unbeaten through their first five games of the season. What’s more, they’ve proven every time out that their offense is truly lethal. They’re averaging 50.6 points per game, which is just an absurd rate, but one that makes sense considering that their low total to this point in a game is 38.

With that said, it’s also a fair assessment to say that UCF has yet to really be tested. They haven’t played doormats exclusively to this point as wins over Memphis and at Maryland are both solid victories. With that being said, though, they still haven’t faced a highly explosive offense that could potentially match their efforts on that side of the ball. Yet, that’s what they’ll have before them on Saturday in an AAC matchup with the Navy Midshipmen.

Continuing with their standard option attack, quarterback Zach Abey is one of the country’s leading rushers and rightfully so. This Navy team can put up points in a hurry, and we all know how difficult it can be for defenses to prepare for the option attack considering how rare it is to face such an offense. That’s not to say that UCF can’t withstand it, but they better be prepared or the Midshipmen will catch them on their heels.
