How much will Marshawn Lynch be fined for shoving official?
By Jack Crosby
Marshawn Lynch was ejected from the game against the Chiefs on Thursday night, so of course, we’re all wondering how much the man who is here so we won’t get fined — well, will be fined.
There was a very Marshawn Lynch moment that took place on Thursday night in the game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Oakland Raiders. During the second quarter, these two bitter rivals started scuffling on the field, with a huge melee taking place. Well, during the said melee, Raider running back Marshawn Lynch unfortunately got a little too handsy with an official, an act which resulted in his ejection from the game.
When you put your hands on a referee, you’re definitely going to shelling some money out of your pocket very soon to the NFL. Yes, the man who once stated he was in attendance at Super Bowl Media Day simply so he wouldn’t get fined, is in fact … about to get fined.
So, you’re probably all wondering just how much he’ll have to pull out of his wallet for what took place on Thursday night. Well, Adam Schefter was quick and nice enough to point out on Twitter what the penalty is for putting your hands on an official during the game.
That’s a lot of money, but the fact of the matter is that you can’t do what Lynch did on Thursday night. No matter how heated a moment is, you should never put your hands on a ref, especially in the manner Lynch did during that scuffle. So, while this amount of money seems like a ton, it’s probably a deserved punishment after what went down out in Oakland.
Now that we know how much Lynch will be fined, we just wait to hear what he has to say when the media asks him about all this.
