The Cowboys will look to get back into a groove after their bye week and will have Ezekiel Elliott in the backfield when they battle the 49ers on Sunday.

Even when the Dallas Cowboys were off of the NFL schedule in Week 6, they were making waves in the news world for their whole conundrum with Ezekiel Elliott. After some back and forth, it was determined that he’d be able to play for the Cowboys this Sunday, much to the dismay of their Week 7 opponents: the San Francisco 49ers.

Elliott’s storyline may have been a distraction for those involved in the Cowboys organization, but his return to the field will surely be welcomed for the team’s offense as they return from their bye week in Week 6. They’ll be fresh and rejuvenated, and they have a battle with the winless 49ers to try to get back into the swing of things on Sunday.

Then, there’s the 49ers. They’re still in search of a victory in 2017, and this doesn’t look like the most promising option for it to happen as they host the Cowboys on Sunday. Miracles do happen, but it doesn’t look like it’ll be a fun day for the 49ers in the late slate of action in Week 7.

Odds: Cowboys -7, according to Sportsbook Review

This game has all the makings for another breakout performance from Elliott in the backfield, but it could also turn out to be a solid day for Dak Prescott under center in the Cowboys offense, as well. With all of the attention on Elliott, it would make sense for Prescott to eventually roam free and have himself a day offensively.

It’s just the type of matchup that the Cowboys would ever dream of having coming out of the bye, and I see them completely exceeding their 7-point odds to blowout the 49ers on the road in Week 7.

Prediction: Cowboys 31, 49ers 10
