We’re getting ready to see the New York Jets travel to South Florida to take on the Miami Dolphins. Which team will prevail in this showdown?

Entering Week 7, there was no team in the AFC East with a losing record. That includes the better-than-expected New York Jets, who dropped a heartbreaker at home last Sunday to the New England Patriots. The Miami Dolphins looked like they were headed to a third defeat in five games. But Adam Gase’s club got a big second half from running back Jay Ajayi and the club rallied from a 17-0 deficit to stun the host Atlanta Falcons.

So what should we expect from this divisional rematch on Sunday at South Florida? The Jets knocked off the Dolphins. 20-6, back in Week 3 at MetLife Stadium. And there’s an opportunity here for Todd Bowles’ squad to sweep this series for the second time in three years.

Odds

Line: Dolphins (-3)

Over/Under: 38.5

Via the fine folks at SportsBook Review, the Dolphins are the obligatory 3-point home favorite. And the odds-makers are certainly not expecting a lot of points in this game. Keep in mind that Miami is coming off a season-high 20 points last week and their offensive unit has produced only five touchdowns in as many games this season.

Neither the Miami Dolphins nor the New York Jets have displayed a lot of firepower on offense these days. And the teams have already combined for 20 turnovers this season – 11 by Bowles’ team in six games this year. The ‘Fins certainly can’t afford to drop a second game to the Jets this season if they have any plans on returning to the postseason for a second straight year. Look for Ajayi to pick up where he left off against the Falcons last week as Gase’s club comes up with another ugly win.

Pick: Dolphins 19, Jets 13
