5 potential trade destinations for Eric Bledsoe
By Joe Romano
MIL gets: Eric Bledsoe
PHX gets: John Henson and Thon Maker
The Milwaukee Bucks have an MVP candidate in Giannis Antetokounmpo. They also have a team full of long athletic players who lock the opposing offense down. Eric Bledsoe would fit in very well with this Milwaukee team.
Bledsoe is a good enough shooter to keep the driving lanes open for Antetokounmpo while playing the defense he is known for. If Milwaukee wants to vault their name into the top four Eastern Conference seeds, grabbing Bledsoe would help.
The trade would probably force the Bucks to give up on the potential of Thon Maker. Phoenix would grab Maker and hope that one or more of him, Dragan Bender or Marquese Chriss turn into a star to pair with Devin Booker. This would also turn the keys to the offense over to Booker.
John Henson is included to match salaries with Bledsoe. If Phoenix would prefer a first over Maker the trade still works with a minimum salary player coming from Milwaukee.
A lineup of Bledsoe, Malcolm Brogdon, Khris Middleton, Antetokounmpo and Greg Monroe (or Maker) has potential to be one of the best in the East. If they can get Jabari Parker back healthy, that team becomes even scarier.
