NYK gets: Eric Bledsoe

PHX gets: Frank Ntilikina, Kyle O’Quinn, Willie Hernangomez, Damyean Dotson

The asset cupboard is bare in New York. However, they could use a point guard in the worst way. They also have a coach inn Jeff Hornacek that is familiar with Eric Bledsoe.

Knicks fans would likely not be happy with this trade but it works for both sides.

Bledsoe jumps right into the second-best player role and is a running mate for Kristaps Porzingis. He is young enough to not impact their timeline much but also helps in Porzingis development. Bledsoe and Tim Hardaway Jr. help the Knicks stay relevant while Porzingis continues to grow. They may even be able to sneak into the playoffs this year.

For Phoenix this is an ideal trade. Frank Ntilikina is a top ten pick that has the potential to be the perfect partner for Devin Booker. The long athletic guard has massive defensive upside and is not even 20 years old.

Willie Henangomez is another great piece coming to Phoenix. The talented Spanish big man could play with either Dragan Bender or Marquese Chriss. Hernangomez is also under 25 years old.

O’Quinn and Dotson are filler salaries to make the trade work. ESPN’s trade machine approves the deal, not sure about Knicks fans.
