Is Empire new tonight, October 25? We let you know if Empire season 4 is airing a new episode on FOX this Wednesday and what’s in store.

Is Empire new tonight, October 25? Fans may be wondering if they’ll be able to see a new Empire season 4 episode on Wednesday, with FOX also being the television home of the World Series.

The answer to that question is no, as Lucious Lyon and his family are preempted Wednesday for Game 2 of the World Series between the New York Yankees and Houston Astros. FOX is airing the MLB game on Oct. 25, and so none of the network’s regular shows will be airing tonight.

Unfortunately, that also makes it impossible for us to tell you when Lucious, Cookie and the rest of the Lyons will be back on TV. Empire season 4 is currently scheduled to return next Wednesday, on Nov. 1, at its regular time of 9 p.m. ET.

But if the MLB postseason goes to its full length of seven games, then the World Series Game 7 between the Yankees and Astros will air on Nov. 1 instead, and the show will be preempted again. So while we can answer the question of is Empire new tonight with a no, we can’t say if you’ll see it again next week or in two weeks.

While there’s no new episode tonight, the good news is that if you’re not caught up with the current season, this would be a great time to watch those episodes you haven’t seen yet. You can watch them on FuboTV, among more than 80 TV channels, and be ready whenever Empire returns.
