Mitch Hyatt

Offensive Tackle, Clemson

The Seattle Seahawks had the luxury of playing the New York Giants this past weekend, as they continued their run towards another spot in the playoffs. The Seahawks have not been the team many expected them to be at the start of the season, and with the Los Angeles Rams playing so well, they may not win the NFC West. Still, they have enough talent to be very dangerous if they can get into the dance, and have a proven winner in Russell Wilson under center.

When it comes to this roster, the offensive side of the ball is where they need the most help. The Legion of Boom defense has been stellar once again this season, but Wilson has had to run for his life when the team has the ball. They need to do something to improve their offensive line this offseason, and drafting a player like Mitch Hyatt would instantly make them better at the tackle position.

Hyatt has played on some great teams during his time at Clemson, and is one of the more NFL-ready players in this draft. He has the size and speed to stay on the left side at the next level, and would give the Seahawks much needed depth protecting Wilson’s blindside. Hyatt protected Deshaun Watson during his time in college, and did a great job doing so, helping the Tigers beat the Alabama Crimson Tide in the national title game at the end of last season.
