Dallas Cowboys are really good at football, not so much geography

If you’re looking for geographically correct tweets, stay away from the Cowboys on Twitter.

Sunday was a bad day in Dallas, depending on who you were. For the Kansas City Chiefs, Sunday saw the team collect its fourth loss of the season with questions being raised about their ability to contend down the stretch. To say that they’re a defensively-challenged team is accurate.

To say the Dallas Cowboys social media team is geographically-challenged would also be correct. Dallas won on Sunday, but it’s Twitter team drew a big time ‘L’ after a troll attempt failed in the worst way.

The Cowboys’ Twitter account tried to troll the Chiefs after Sunday’s game, but missed wide to the right.

If you can’t figure it out, then we need to talk. Let’s go real slow with this:

  • The Chiefs play in Kansas City.
  • Kansas City is, contrary to it’s name, not in Kansas.
  • It’s in Missouri.
  • Missouri is not Kansas.

The Cowboys are good at football, this much was proven on Sunday against the Chiefs. The team, or at least the social media team, is not good at geography.

Thankfully, the Cowboys rely on their play on the field to determine where they stand in the league. That could be in jeopardy if Ezekiel Elliott is lost to a suspension he seems to be evading like so many defenders in his career. If Elliott is lost, the Cowboys chances to contend for a Super Bowl takes a drastic hit.

No matter how the season shakes out for Dallas, this tweet will live on forever as a reminder to check a map before hitting ‘send’.
