The Seahawks hoped to build more momentum against the Redskins in Week 9. Did they end up pulling it off in Seattle on Sunday?
The Seattle Seahawks hosted the Washington Redskins on Sunday, and as the four quarters wrapped up, the game didn’t exactly meet the offensive expectations that many had heading into the battle.
After Seahawks kicker Blair Walsh missed field goal after field goal in the first half, the Seahawks’ lone scoring came on a safety from their defense. However, they came alive in the second half like they always do, completing a comeback to make it a 14-10 game late. But the Redskins bounced back in a big way, scoring almost immediately after a touchdown to Doug Baldwin, with Rob Kelley driving in his second touchdown of the game to give the Redskins the 17-14 win.
There weren’t a ton of offensive highlights, but plenty still went down in this close fight in Seattle. Check out some of the highlights below from this closely contested matchup in Week 9.

Three Stars
1. Rob Kelley
The Redskins running back couldn’t get much done in the rushing attack, but he scored the two touchdowns in the win for the Redskins to have the lone offensive highlights. He may not be a star in any other game, but he sticks out in the box score for this one for his trips to the end zone in clutch situations.
2. Russell Wilson
Despite his two interceptions, Wilson put together a solid performance otherwise, including a touchdown pass to Luke Willson in the fourth quarter to make things interesting for the Seahawks. His 30-yard touchdown pass to Doug Baldwin helped complete the comeback, and he had a solid performance at home for the Seahawks on Sunday, despite the loss.
3. Doug Baldwin
He was the leading receiver for the Seahawks all game, but his 30-yard touchdown catch with less than two minutes left helped to complete a comeback for Seattle and put the home crowd into a frenzy after the pass from Russell Wilson. Even in a loss, his performance stuck out for the Seahawks.
