Week 9 is in the books and we’re here to jump in to start and sit in Week 10.

Week 9 in the NFL saw fights in two different games that got players ejected and blowouts galore. It may not have been the most exciting day for real life football, but fantasy football players saw some big numbers from a lot of different players. Week 10 is shaping up to be a fun week with only four teams on a bye. It’s a nice change of pace after the past two weeks with 6 teams not playing.

Start: Matt Ryan, QB – Atlanta Falcons

Perhaps owners will think this is a slam dunk start and this advice is cherry picking. However,  Matt Ryan and the Falcons offense as a whole has had an up-and-down season. It looked like it was going to be another ho-hum game for Ryan last week versus Carolina until the end of the game. Ryan racked up a nice chunk of fantasy points when the Falcons when down by 10 late in the fourth quarter. Ryan’s line would have looked even better had wide receiver Julio Jones not dropped a touchdown this past week.

This week Ryan gets to face a Dallas defense that is mediocre at best. There’s also a reasonable expectation that the Cowboys will be able to put up points against the Atlanta defense, regardless of whether running back Ezekiel Elliot is on his 274th appeal and playing or if he’s out. Ryan is coming off just his second 300-yard passing game of 2017 and should be able to make it two in a row against the Cowboys this week.
