Lakers at Celtics live stream: How to watch online
By Chazz Scogna
The all-time rivalry in the NBA squares off for the first time this season as the Los Angeles Lakers (5-5) travel to Boston to face the Celtics (9-2).
The Celtics season started about as bad as you could expect. Gordon Hayward suffered a gruesome injury and the C’s lost their first two games of the season. There were questions about how good Boston would be without arguably its best player.
Since then, they’ve won nine straight and seem to be doing just fine. During that streak, they’ve won games against the Sixers and Knicks (sneaky good wins), the Spurs (always a good win) and Thunder (not a great win as we hoped). The Celtics have the best defensive rating in the NBA and are second in net rating, behind only the Warriors. They’re a good team with a great coach, great culture and very good young talents in Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum.
The Lakers have been playing to expectations to the start. They struggle on offense, but are solid on defense (seventh in defensive rating). They have a few quality wins over the Grizzlies, Wizards and Pistons. Kyle Kuzma is looking like a real pro, and I’m just not worried about Lonzo Ball yet. Ball should never go a game with only two attempts, and his dad LaVar is getting dangerously close to being that guy again. Since his two-attempt night against the Blazers, Ball has attempted 28 shots in two games. He’s only made six, but Ben Simmons aside, I just never expect rookies to come in and dominate.

OddsShark.com has the Celtics as 8.5-point favorites. The Lakers are good on defense, but the Celtics are better. Coupled with the Lakers’ struggles to score, the C’s should cover this line.
