Sam Bradford’s 2017 NFL season came to an end on Wednesday, as the Minnesota Vikings placed the quarterback on injured reserve.

Heading into the 2017 NFL season, many believed Sam Bradford would be in for a big year for the Minnesota Vikings. In Week 1, Bradford shredded the New Orleans Saints, but he has not been healthy since. He has tried to battle back from a knee injury, but it has proven to be too much, and the organization placed him on injured reserve on Wednesday, while activating Teddy Bridgewater.

Martellus Bennett won a Super Bowl ring with the New England Patriots last season and signed a three-year deal with the Green Bay Packers this offseason. On Wednesday, the Packers released Bennett, using a failure to disclose medical condition clause. Bennett was supposed to take the place of Jared Cook, who moved on to the Oakland Raiders, but he never got it going this season.

Ben McAdoo and the New York Giants were supposed to challenge for a Super Bowl spot this season, but their 2017 campaign has gone off the rails. The Giants are currently 1-7, and if they lose to the winless San Francisco 49ers this weekend, he may be fired mid-season. That is saying something considering he led the team to  their first playoff appearance in five seasons, but all signs are that he has lost the locker room.

The NFL is trying their hardest to suspend Ezekiel Elliott, and maybe that is the reason the Dallas Cowboys owner has it out for NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. In fact, Jerry Jones is considering suing the NFL if Goodell’s contract is extended beyond 2018. Goodell is paid a pretty penny by the NFL owners to run the league, and without unanimous agreement on an extension, his time as commissioner would come to an end.

Tonight’s Thursday Night Football game will be a battle between two teams who were expected to challenge in the NFC this season. While both the Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks are still in the playoff race, they are both looking up at the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC West. Yes, you read that right, these teams are behind the Rams, so Thursday night is a huge game for both franchises.
