Giants at 49ers: Preview, prediction, odds and pick
The Giants will look to double their win total, and the 49ers will just look for a win in general when the two go at it on Sunday in their Week 10 matchup.
The New York Giants have become a bit of a laughing stock in the NFL in the 2017 season, and there’s a chance they could further that when they travel to play the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.
There was a time when this matchup used to mean something, and these two teams have battled against each other in an NFC Championship in the last decade. However, the Giants and Niners have completely fallen off since, and are now fighting to see who can tank better for a potential number one pick in this year’s draft.
The Giants are just 1-7 this year and at the bottom of the NFC East, and their Week 10 opponent is the one team in the conference doing worse than them. The 49ers remain winless heading into the matchup, and likely have their best chance to add to their win column all year when the Giants come to town.
Odds: Giants -1, according to Odds Shark
One interesting storyline to follow will be regarding Jimmy Garoppolo and his potential debut under center for the Niners. While there is talk of him sitting out the rest of the year, maybe the 49ers will take the risk and start him to avoid going winless in 2017.

The two teams will either be dropping a ton of each other because of how bad they both are, or this will turn into a low-scoring snoozer for the same reason. Either way, as awful as the Giants are, I think the 49ers are that much worse.
I see this game as a bit of a bore, with the Giants pulling out a win in a game you may want to avoid subjecting your eyes to.
Prediction: Giants 17, 49ers 13
