Week 11 of the college football season is in full swing, with Nebraska suffering more misery and Ohio State taking out its anger.
On this Saturday, we’re into Week 11 of the college football season full tilt. Sadly, the season is coming to a close, meaning we’re learning more about some conference pictures as well as coaches whose time at their schools will be coming to a close.
With the early games of Week 11 out of the way as we navigate through the month of November here in the 2017 season, there are, of course, some more lessons that were learned, as there are every week in college football — beginning with Scott Frost continuing to make himself a very rich man in the near future.
UCF continues to roll toward a New Year’s Six bid
Another week in college football, and another week in which the UCF Knights put on an offensive show. The Knights came into Week 11 ranked 5th in the country in total offense, and they displayed why once again in a 49-24 throttling of UConn.
Right now, there’s no question that Scott Frost’s UCF team is the cream of the crop when it comes to the Group of Five teams, and come the new year, they should be playing against one of the big boys on a grand stage. They have two very winnable games coming up on the slate to end the year against Temple and South Florida, then they’ll have to defeat a Memphis team in the American title game they’ve destroyed already this year.
UCF is in the home stretch toward making the ultimate comeback from that 0-12 campaign two seasons ago, and Frost himself might be on his stretch run as the head coach of the Knights with what he’s pulled off. As a matter of fact, it might be time for him to go back home.
