Mark Ingram not only ran for over 130 yards in Buffalo, but he leaped into Bills Mafia and lived to tell the tale.

Out of nowhere, the New Orleans Saints are the toast of the NFC. After starting the season 0-2, the Saints have torn off seven straight wins and now control their division. It’s not hard to argue that New Orleans is the most dangerous team in the NFL right now, and a big part of that is Mark Ingram.

Since trading Adrian Peterson, the Saints have watched Ingram’s production go through the roof. In the five games since the trade, Ingram is averaging over 100 yards per game and has racked up over 500 yards on the ground.

Ingram’s most productive day on the ground this year came on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills, when he went for 131 yards and three touchdowns. That type of game can make a man feel invincible, and it can make him do crazy things. That kind of day can make man want to gran Bills Mafia by the horns and tempt fate.

That’s what Ingram did after one of his touchdowns, as he dove right into the belly of the beast and live to tell the tale.

Someone decided that throwing a beer at Ingram was something that was a good idea. So that part of the story wasn’t so ideal, but the rest of it was pretty awesome.

Apparently, Ingram’s helmet smelled like beer the rest of the first half until they could clean it out in the locker room. That’s a small price to pay, however, to take on Bills Mafia and live to talk about it. There isn’t a crazier fan base in football and the fact that they could (mostly) have some fun with an opposing running back who was tearing their hearts out goes to show that they’re not as bad as some might want you to think.
