Week 11 of the college football season is in the books but recruiting never stops. Let’s take a look at the updated recruiting rankings.

The 2017 college football season is coming to a close and conference title week and bowl season is nearly upon us. It’s the most exciting time of the year for college football fans and players as everything means that much more in November.

However, coaches haven’t lost sight of the importance of recruiting, either. There has been some movement in the weekly college football team recruiting rankings for the 2018 class.

Who moved in the top 10 team rankings this week?

Let’s check out the 247Sports top 10 rankings after Week 11:

  1. Ohio State: 18 commits
  2. Texas: 18 commits
  3. Penn State: 22 commits
  4. Miami: 19 commits
  5. Georgia: 18 commits
  6. Oregon: 23 commits
  7. Notre Dame: 19 commits
  8. Oklahoma: 20 commits
  9. Florida: 18 commits
  10. Florida State: 18 commits

Notre Dame and Florida essentially traded spots in this week’s rankings as the Fighting Irish landed another top recruit. Despite the loss to Miami, the Fighting Irish are gaining ground on the Hurricanes in the recruiting rankings.

Florida, on the other hand, is dropping because of the departure of Jim McElwain. The same goes for Tennessee after Butch Jones left the program — the Volunteers have been plummeting.

Now, here’s a look at the ESPN rankings after Week 11:

  1. Ohio State
  2. Texas
  3. Penn State
  4. Miami
  5. Georgia
  6. Oregon
  7. Florida State
  8. Florida
  9. Notre Dame
  10. Oklahoma

The only movement in these rankings was — yup, you guessed it — Notre Dame. The Fighting Irish switched places with Oklahoma this week, but the top 10, minus Florida, Oregon and Texas, looks eerily similar to the top 10 teams in the country.

Win on the field, win off the field. Coaches are taking full advantage of that on-field success to land some of the nation’s best talent.

Check back in again next week to see if there’s even more movement. Week 11 was fairly interesting, but Week 12 could be even better.
