Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown has a claim for the best receiver in football. Thursday night saw another example of his talent.

Not all touchdown receptions are created equal. Some receptions are pretty easy to haul in and the defense can blow a coverage on any play. The Tennessee Titans didn’t blow a coverage Thursday night, so Antonio Brown had to work hard for this touchdown reception.

He worked so hard, in fact, he made the catch with one hand and his helmet.

You just can’t possibly stop that play if you’re the defense. That’s just one of the best talents in football going out there and doing what he does best. That should quiet down some of the criticism that has been surfacing of Brown this season. He and the Steelers offense haven’t been having the greatest statistical season so far. They claimed before the year started that they wanted to score 30 points every game. Thursday against Tennessee marked the first time they have hit that mark all year.

Brown himself had been taking a bit of a backseat to rookie sensation JuJu Smith-Schuster the past couple of weeks. The young gun had outproduced Brown by a significant margin and had caught two touchdowns while Brown went through a bit of dry spell. Really, the entire Pittsburgh offense hadn’t clicked the way they should have until Thursday night. Both Brown and quarterback Ben Roethlisberger snapped out of their mini funk against the Titans. Big Ben has thrown for four touchdowns and just under 300 yards. Brown himself had 10 receptions for 144 yards and three touchdowns, including a catch of the year candidate.

The Steelers are on the verge of being 8-2 and control their destiny for securing the number one seed throughout the AFC playoffs. They’re going to become even scarier if the offense starts playing up to their talent level and Brown is catching touchdowns using his helmet.
