Video of Jarvis Landry pushing woman emerges

New video has emerged of Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jarvis Landry pushing the mother of his child.

Another star NFL player is under fire for domestic violence. TMZ Sports has obtained video of Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jarvis Landry pushing a woman.

According to TMZ Sports, the video was taken from a surveillance camera on April 1. It shows Landry shoving the woman while a child is in the car. It is blurred but you then see Landry attempt to snatch a cell phone from the woman.

Her original report stated that Landry assaulted her, a claim Landry disputed. The woman changed her story at least once when talking to the police.

The NFL was aware of the incident and concluded their investigation on Oct. 24. They decided to not pursue any actions against the Dolphins player. This was before video surfaced.

An ESPN article states that there were no charges filed against Landry. The league believes that Landry did not intentionally mean to make contact with the woman. The video seems to contradict the victim’s statement.

"“The victim maintains that the defendant did not intent to touch her [or] strike her, but accidentally did so,” assistant state attorney Stefanie Newman said in a memorandum.There were no witnesses to the encounter, and Newman said that video surveillance appeared to corroborate Cerqueira’s account."

Dallas Cowboys star running back Ezekiel Elliott just seceded to the NFL’s suspension for his domestic violence charges. This came after a lengthy legal battle and ended in Elliott’s acceptance of a six-game suspension.

The NFL has cracked down on domestic violence since the now infamous Ray Rice case. Similar to that case the NFL made its decision prior to the public seeing any evidence, when it changed the punishment from a two-game suspension to an indefinite ban. With the video now emerging it will be interesting if the NFL reopens this case.
