NFL Draft 2018: Updated ranking of the top 32 draft prospects entering Week 12
For the first time in a a while, Nick Chubb was finally slowed down. In an awful day for the Georgia Bulldogs, Chubb ran the ball 11 times for just 27 yards. He did score a touchdown, but it was nowhere near enough to help.
Georgia got obliterated by Auburn and they fell from their top ranking to just on the outside of the College Football Playoff. The good news is they will still be competing for the SEC Championship and could very well meet Auburn again.
Every team gets their big test of the year and Georgia will have their chance to bounce back. A great way to start would be by giving Chubb a healthy dose of the football at home against Kentucky this week.
Having him with a full head of steam and momentum going into the SEC Championship Game is an absolute must. The Auburn defense might have been able to shut him down, but Alabama is a different beast.
Calvin Ridley is a magician out on the football field. The way he is able to use his hands to catch the football while putting a defensive back on the ground without touching them is something else.
This past week, he had a huge performance in a close victory over the Mississippi State Bulldogs. He showed off his ability to stretch the field with 171 yards on five catches. His longest was a huge 63-yard haul.
He’s the real deal at the receiver spot and can stretch the field while having great possession skills. He’s closing in on the school receptions record and should pass by Amari Cooper here soon if things go as planned.
With the Iron Bowl, SEC Championship and College Football Playoff potentially around the corner, this is when the program is going to lean on him most. Expect Jalen Hurts to continue to look toward his star receiver’s way.
