Kansas captains refuse to shake Baker Mayfield’s hand

The Kanasa football captains were probably not wise to refuse the handshake gesture from Baker Mayfield before Saturday’s game.

The Kansas Jayhawks are 1-9 on the season and winless in Big 12 play, so it’s probably not all that wise to act cocky in any form or fashion. It’s especially not wise to act even the slightest over-confident when you’re playing the best team in the conference, the Oklahoma Sooners, who just so happen to have the man who will probably win the Heisman in a few weeks, Baker Mayfield. You know, you should probably just go out there, be polite and take your whooping.

Well, Kansas did not heed that advice on Saturday, and they’re probably gonna pay for it now.

Prior to the game on Saturday between these two teams, the captains met in the middle of the field for the coin toss, which is customary. Well, before he does some terrible things to the Kansas defense, Mayfield was being generous by extending his hand to the Kansas captains.

At this point, the smart move would have been to shake the future Heisman winner’s hand and move along. Well, they didn’t do that, instead deciding to rudely brush him off.

Mayfield was already going to do some horrible things to the Kansas defense, and now after this, Lord knows the damage that he will inflict on their lives. He’s a scary force on the football field to begin with, but when you purposely fire him up, he’ll go out there with the intentions to end you.

This game just got underway, so it will be very interesting to see what his final stats end up being after this blatant disrespect.
