The Texas Christian Horned Frogs face the Texas Tech Red Raiders on Saturday, Nov. 18 in college football week 12, and here’s all the info you need to watch.

When the 2017 season opened, the expectations were not high in Fort Worth. They were coming off a 6-7 season and nothing was really looking strong coming into the season. Sure, they had some great weapons like KaVontae Turpin, but there was really nothing that really stuck out for Gary Patterson and his team. Flash forward to week 12, and the Horned Frogs have exceeded expectations and then some. They beat Oklahoma State in week 4 in Stillwater and have consistently been one of the biggest threats week in and week out for the conference. Last week was definitely a bummer facing an offensive wrecking ball captained by Baker Mayfield and the rest of the Oklahoma dynamic crew. Last week may have been a beatdown, but you can bet Gary Patterson and his crew will be ready if they get another shot.

The Texas Tech Red Raiders for years have always been known as an offensive juggernaut, and this year is no different. Led by quarterback Nic Shimonek, this offense is as dynamic as ever. He has thrown for over 3310 yards and 28 touchdowns. He is not the only weapon for the Red Raiders, as both Tre King and KeKe Coulee are both incredibly dangerous with the ball in their hands. King has over 570 yards rushing and four touchdowns, while Coulee has been one of the best receivers in the entire country while hauling in over 1000 yards and nine touchdowns. TCU is led by Kenny Hill, who has thrown for over 2270 yards and 16 touchdowns. One thing to keep an eye on is that their best receiver, Darius Anderson, is out for the season with a right foot injury. So TCU is going to have find another guy who Hill can get the ball to.

TCU may have the better record in this matchup, but do not be fooled. The Red Raiders will give the Horned Frogs everything they got. If they had trouble with the Oklahoma offense, this Texas Tech machine is nothing to take lightly. One thing that has been steady throughout Gary Patterson’s career as TCU’s coach is that you always see his boys come prepared, no matter who they are playing. So do not expect to see TCU come out flat — they will be ready to play.
