NFL quarterback rankings, Week 12: Dak Prescott struggling
Phil Simms Division
12. Dak Prescott (Prev: 7)
Prescott has looked bad without Tyron Smith and Ezekiel Elliott. Then again, to be fair, how many quarterbacks could look good while wearing defensive ends like a necklace? Prescott turned the ball over four times against the Eagles on Sunday, thus the drop.
11. Alex Smith (Prev: 5)
Smith is the biggest dropper of the week, and it’s because he’s starting to look like the old Alex Smith. The Kansas City signal caller has 18 touchdowns against three interceptions with 2,674 yards, good for fifth-most in the league. Still, the past five games have been laced with timid play and the Chiefs going in the tank.
10. Ben Roethlisberger (Prev: 12)
Roethlisberger moves up two spots, mostly because he came alive in the second half against the Titans on Thursday night. The future Hall of Famer now has 16 touchdowns and 10 interceptions for the year, which isn’t great, but much-improved compared to a few weeks ago.
9. Kirk Cousins (Prev: 11)
Cousins is getting overlooked because the Redskins are 4-6 and out of the race, but he’s played excellent football. Washington’s main man has 2,796 passing yards, second only to Tom Brady. Cousins also has thrown 17 touchdowns on the campaign.
