In an AFC matchup inside Arrowhead Stadium, the Kansas City Chiefs will play host to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday afternoon.

It has been a very odd year for the Kansas City Chiefs up until this point, as they started out so strong, and have faded very quickly. The Chiefs began the year with a stellar 5-0 record, and were actually the last team in the NFL to lose their first game. Since then, the team has gone 1-4, and had it not been for the rest of the division being awful, they may actually be hanging on by a thread in the AFC West.

For Buffalo, they got out to a 5-4 start this season, and were actually in one of the two Wildcard spots when first-year head coach Sean McDermott made the choice to bench quarterback Tyrod Taylor. Well, the Nathan Peterman experience lasted only a half, and by the time the two teams went to the locker room for halftime, he had already thrown five interceptions. Taylor played well in the second half, scoring twice, but the Bills were blown out by the Los Angeles Chargers by thirty points.

On Sunday, these two teams will meet up inside Arrowhead Stadium, which has been a good home field advantage for the Chiefs in recent years. Quarterback Alex Smith will look to get back on track, as he looked like an MVP candidate early on, and now looks scared to throw downfield. There are many questions about how far this team can go with him under center, and fans are already starting to wonder when first round pick Patrick Mahomes II is going to get the nod to be the team’s starter.

Odds

Line: Kansas City Chiefs (-10.0)

Over/Under: 46.0

The Chiefs are playing at home, and they are big time favorites in this one, giving the Bills ten points. The over/under is set at 46.0 points, but with the way these two offenses have been playing as of late, going under might be the play. This line will change a lot throughout the week, so head on over to OddsShark.com for any changes up until kickoff.

Prediction

Kansas City gets back on the winning track in this one, as their home fans go home happy after a big AFC win. The Chiefs are in the driver’s seat in the AFC West, and while they have been losing games as of late, they do have a two game lead. Look for them to pick up win No. 7 on Sunday, as they continue their trek to a division title.

Final Score: Chiefs 25, Bills 10
