Twitter begs for Patrick Mahomes to be Chiefs QB

Twitter has had enough of this Alex Smith Kansas City Chiefs quarterback nonsense. The angry mob NEEDS Patrick Mahomes and they NEED him now!
After a 5-0 start, the Kansas City Chiefs have certainly fallen on hard times. The Chiefs have gone 1-4 in their last five games and are struggling at home versus the Buffalo Bills on Sunday afternoon in Week 12. Their offense stinks and quarterback Alex Smith is clearly the scapegoat.
Smith was an NFL MVP candidate through the first six weeks of the season. However as the weather changed, he was revealed to be an MVP fraud, as he has no interest in throwing the ball deep in below 75 degree weather.
So what are the Chiefs to do? They are still leading the rancid AFC West by a game and half over the Los Angeles Chargers. Let’s check Twitter for a sound rationalization of what to do going forward. The angry mob’s resolution to this Smith quarterbacking thing is simple really. They want rookie fireballer Patrick Mahomes II in there and they NEED him in there now!
Kansas City traded up with coincidentally the Bills in the 2017 NFL Draft to take Mahomes No. 10 overall out of Texas Tech. Mahomes was the first quarterback the Chiefs took in the first round since they botched that one back in 1983 by taking Todd Blackledge out of Penn State.
The idea was for Mahomes to sit out the 2017 NFL season, as he was making the transition from an Air Raid Big 12 offense at Texas Tech to a pro-style one in Kansas City. However, things have certainly changed in Kansas City of late. This team needs a spark offensively, so why not hand the car keys over to the millennial generation’s version of Brett Favre.
What’s the worst thing that could happen? The Chiefs lose at home to the Bills? Well, they are losing now and already lost to the two-win New York Giants last week. It’s time for the Mahomes era in KC, or that’s what Twitter is clearly trying to tell us.

Basically, the Chiefs are in a really bad spot. Only Mahomes can Obi-wan Kenobi their season. Everybody is done with Smith and his death by 1,000 paper cuts offense. If Andy Reid is cool with Travis Kelce airing it out, why not put Mahomes and that powerful right arm of his in there and let ‘er rip? It’s time.
