Philadelphia Eagles running back Corey Clement has ultimate bragging rights after winning a bet against his high school counselor.

We can all say that Philadelphia Eagles running back Corey Clement has the coolest high school guidance counselor in America.

Seriously, how many guidance counselors our there would make a bet like the one this New Jersey counselor made with Clement? Not very many, which makes this story all the more inspiring.

According to Chris Cwik of Yahoo! Sports, many years ago, when Clement was a freshman at Glassboro High School, he had dreams of playing in the NFL. He told his guidance counselor about his dream, and she made him a bet: If he achieved his ultimate dream of playing in the NFL, she would get him a new car.

The bet was set, and Clement worked his butt off to make it to the NFL. After staring at Wisconsin, he failed to be drafted in the NFL, so, in technicality, she won the bet. He was picked up as an undrafted free agent by the Eagles and is now a key piece in their demolition through the league this season.

Since Clement did make the NFL, the guidance counselor kept her promise and over the Thanksgiving holiday, she delivered him his own BMW. Now, the car isn’t “new,” it had been in the family’s name for a while, but that doesn’t matter. A BMW is a BMW, no matter how old it is, and Clement was honored to receive the car.

There is a hidden message in this sweet little tale, and if you can spot it, then you may have learned a valuable lesson for the day. It doesn’t matter if you make a bet or not, if you work hard to achieve your dream, you’ll eventually accomplish it.

Throwing a BMW into the mix certainly doesn’t hurt.
