New York Giants (+8.5) at Oakland Raiders

If there ever was such a thing as a trap game for a mediocre football team, this would be it. The Oakland Raiders (5-6) will be hosting a New York Giants (2-9) team that has already been eliminated from playoff contention. So the Giants are getting 8.5 points at home? Yes, take them.

Not saying that the Giants are going to beat the Raiders at The Coliseum, but they will keep it interesting. Is Eli Manning still a serviceable NFL quarterback? That answer would be yes, maybe, which is good enough to move the sticks at will on this putrid Raiders secondary.

Had the Raiders gone up against Trevor Siemian the entire game on Sunday instead of hapless Paxton Lynch, the Silver and Black would have lost at home and fallen to 4-7. Heck, even Brock Osweiler would have found a way to have kept it within five last week.

In short, the Raiders will play with overconfidence and overlook the Giants because they just beat a rancid Denver Broncos team at home by a touchdown. Amari Cooper may not play because of a concussion and an ankle injury. Who knows what Michael Crabtree will do in this game, if he is allowed to play? New York finds a way to keep this one within one score.
