Broncos at Dolphins: Preview, prediction, odds and pick
We’re getting ready to see the Miami Dolphins host the Denver Broncos in a battle of struggling teams. Who comes out on top in this contest?
A few months ago, both the Denver Broncos and Miami Dolphins looked like AFC playoff contenders. These days, Vance Joseph’s team and Adam Gase’s club are simply looking to avoid last-place finishes in their respective divisions.
So which team will rise to the occasions and end their current slump? It’s a fascinating encounter as both Joseph and Gase face teams that once employed their services as coordinators. And of course, Dolphins’ quarterback Jay Cutler was a first-round choice of the Broncos back in 2006 before being dealt to the Chicago Bears.
Despite both teams’ dismal win-loss records, this may be a more entertaining game than some believe.
Odds
Line: Broncos (-1.5)
Over/Under: 39.5
Call it the worse of two evils? The Dolphins have dropped five straight after a 4-2 start. The Broncos have lost seven straight games after opening 3-1. Yet it’s Vance Joseph’s team that is the road favorite here. So will Miami’s former defensive coordinator return to South Florida and get a much-needed victory? Apparently the folks at OddsShark seem to think so.

It’s a game between two franchises that have their share of common ground and not much of that in a positive way these days. The Denver Broncos recently fired their offensive coordinator and now turn back to Trevor Siemian with Paxton Lynch injured. Out of concussion protocol, quarterback Jay Cutler is back for the Miami Dolphins. Both of these defenses are struggling and look for the home team to take advantage of Denver secondary minus suspended cornerback Aqib Talib.
Pick: Dolphins 24, Broncos 20
