Here are the players you should put in your FanDuel line up on December 1, 2017 to get the best return on fantasy hockey.

Welcome to FanDuel NHL Picks for Friday, December 1, 2017. Today we have a decent eight-game slate featuring some high-powered offensive teams looking to keep up the hot scoring pace. In this piece, the picks are focused on winning GPPs.

The top plays are listed below and offer you a variety of choices I keep it simple but direct. My goal is to win GPPs and build a unique lineup that will be optimal, but not a guaranteed winner or a cut and paste lineup to throw in a contest. Always take this information and thoughts but also use some of the various tools available out there to tweak your lineups for the best chance to win.

If you find this info for today helpful, drop a bookmark on the fantasy hockey hub to find this kind of post about FanDuel every day along with a similar one for DraftKings. In this post, all references to fantasy points and salary refer to FanDuel scoring and salaries, but if you want to give DraftKings a try, head over to the hub and find that post for today. If you have any other questions or thoughts or are looking for any updates as the games get closer, follow @FanSidedFantasy on Twitter or @VatmanP where I’ll be happy to answer any questions you have and help you get your lineup set.

Here are the FanDuel daily picks.

Center

John Tavares, NYI vs. Ottawa ($8,300): Tavares is a horse for the Isles this season averaging over 20 minutes of ice time per game (TOI) and taking over three shots per game. He is a scorer and a setup guy and has been playing very well lately. He skates on the top line with Anders Lee and Josh Bailey as well as quarter backs the first powerplay line (PPL). He is a great play in any format.

Bryan Little, WPG vs. VGK ($5,000): Looking for a high upside mid tier player? Look no further and embrace Bryan Little. He centers the second line and PPL and generally faces the second or third line of the opposing team when they are at home. Vegas is not a bad team but they give up an average of three goals and 29 shots against on the road this season. Also, consider Mark Scheifele.

Kevin Hayes, NYR vs. Carolina ($4,800) At a slightly better price, the top value play is the top line center for the Rangers. Over the last seven games, he has seen increased time on the No. 1 line and is getting nearly 20 minutes of TOI in that stretch. Hayes had a goal waived off last game but he can score and given the bump to the top line and ice time he’s a great value to plug-in alongside some higher priced players.

Wingers

Patrick Laine, WPG vs. VGK ($7,200) For all the same reasons Bryce Little is likable, the same goes for Laine. He skates on the second line and sees PPL1 ice time, in a home matchup with Las Vegas. Load up on these second line wingers.

Nikolaj Ehlers, WPG vs. VGK ($5,600) Ehlers is having a solid season playing on this second line for Winnipeg. He gets time on the top power play line and his TOI averages 16 minutes per game. Ehlers a great stack with Tavares.

Boone Jenner, CBJ vs. ANH ($4,700) Boone is a solid second line winger on this scrappy Blue Jackets team that is averaging a nice 19 minutes TOI this season. His 2.5 shots on goal per game should increase in this pace up game. Needing money for big guns, this price is perfect for our lineup.
