Where will the 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship Game be held?

The College Football Playoff has succeeded in making the four best teams in the country earn their right to play in the National Championship Game. While the arguments will always be made about which teams should be in, it has made the sport all the more exciting.

The past two years have seen Alabama and Clemson battle it out in the National Championship Game. Each program has won one apiece in two of the most exciting title games to date in college football.

This year both programs along with multiple others are hoping they’ll be among the final four teams in and ultimately, the final two to compete for it all.

Yes, the road to the College Football Playoff National Championship will run through Atlanta, Georgia.

The brand new Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta will play host to the final two teams that are left standing. With the way the 2017 season has gone thus far, the two that do end up playing in the new stadium will have definitely earned their way in. Last season, the game was held at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay, Florida. It was there where Clemson defeated Alabama on a last second touchdown pass by Deshaun Watson.

It’s hard to top some of the great championship games of the past, but the added wrinkle of a playoff has made the competition that much better for it. Ohio State, Alabama and Clemson have each won a National Championship under the new format.

Will a program win their second under the new format this year, or will a new winner once again emerge for the fourth year in a row? The winner will be decided in January.
