The Jaguars’ Leonard Fournette make us so happy that touchdown celebrations are back in the NFL.

For Jacksonville Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette, ball is certainly life.

That was the immediate reaction many Jaguars fans got then he celebrated a touchdown against the downtrodden Indianapolis Colts that make us so happy that touchdown celebrations are, once again, part of the fabric of the NFL.

With little over 10 minutes to play int he third quarter,  and with Jacksonville easily dismantling the free-falling Colts 16-3, the Jaguars were looking for more to continue Indianapolis’ nightmare of a season.

That continued when Fournette, who is having a breakout year in Jacksonville, scored on a 5-yard TD run that put the Jaguars up 22-3, with no chance of the Colts making a comeback.

The true apex of this TD, however, was the post-score celebration.

After Fournette scored, he gathered his linemates in a “free-throw line” formation, and he proceeded to knock down the “free-throw” through the goal-post, with his teammates celebrating the made free-throw. If you’re ever wondering if Fournette has the skills to play in the NBA, he just displayed it.

Fournette and the Jaguars have every reason to be in a celebratory mode this season. They’re 8-4 and could overtake the Tennessee Titans for first place in the AFC South.

That’s a huge turnaround for a squad that, just a year earlier, was a miserable 3-13 and staring down the abyss of forever being the NFL’s version of a doormat. What’s even more amazing is that the Jags are dominating with the same lineup that alienated their already small fanbase in Jacksonville, and it looks like those same fans, after years of frustration and losing, are starting to believe in this team and come back to EverBank Field.

Here’s to Jags fans seeing more celebrations like Fournette’s free-throw for the foreseeable future.
