Joe Flacco showed Jameis Winston how eating a W is properly done.

Somewhere between the start of the season and now, eating W’s has become a thing. It’s not a good thing, despite the connotation, as eating a W involves the eater to look like an absolute doofus.

That might have something to do with the originator of the W-eating: Jameis Winston.

Winston, who hasn’t had the chance to eat win since Week 4, made an unfortunate name for himself before Week 8 in New Orleans. In his pregame speech (which are usually flamboyant), Winston bounced around a huddle of players while he gnawed on his fingers which were shaped like a W. The idea was that he wanted the team to be hungry and consume a win.

Yeah….

The Buccaneers lost that game 30-10 and have won just twice this season with Winston as the starter. Joe Flacco and the Baltimore Ravens are on the cusp of the playoff bubble and are actually eating wins.

Flacco showed us as much after the Ravens 44-20 win over the Lions. Note that to eat a W, one has to actually win.

That’s more than just an expert troll job. That’s Joe Flacco reminding us that he’s indeed elite — don’t ever doubt it again.

Of course, Flacco is the debt that the Ravens are still paying off for winning the Super Bowl a few years ago. Baltimore currently has Flacco on the books as a bigger cap hit than they’re paying him, and that’s the case for the next couple of seasons. His tenure with the Ravens is closer to over than anything else, but he’s positioning his team for a playoff push.

No matter what happens, never forget that Flacco is the devourer of W’s now and forever. That’s as elite as it gets.
