Ouch! Nicolas Batum inbounds the ball straight into Josh Richardson’s groin

Watch at your own risk as an inbound pass from Nicolas Batum finds its way smack dab into a jumping Josh Richardson’s junk.

To paraphrase the opening theme song to America’s Funniest Home Videos: “you’re Nicolas Batum, the funny things you do, Nic Batum, Nic Batum, this is you.”

With apologies to Josh Richardson and his ailing groin, dudes getting hit in the nuts is never not funny. Well, as long as you’re not the dude it’s happening to. You know what; even sometimes when you are, it’s still pretty funny. Being able to laugh at yourself is healthy.

Josh, if you’re reading this; you may want to stop now. We understand you might still be too close to the incident to find humor in it. Everybody else, enjoy!

The best part about the whole thing might be when Batum almost touches the ball before it actually hits out of bounds, which would have totally negated his effort to save the Hornets’ possession. There’s a moment where it seems like he’s thinking about doing it on purpose. That would have been an extra slap in the…face to Richardson.

We get it, five seconds is not a lot of time to inbound the ball, especially when you’re under a lot of pressure and stifling defense. Sometime’s a man’s gotta do what a man’s gotta do.

The inbound play, whether from the sideline or baseline, might be the area of the floor most prime and ready for some hot comedy action. Just take a look for yourself.
