FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy Hockey lineup – December 6, 2017
By Paul Horvat
High Salary Centers
Connor McDavid, EDM vs. PHI ($8900): Starting us off is the chalk play of the night. You should see his ownership reach 80 percent tonight, and on a small slate he could be worth the risk. The hype is real but the recent form has just not been there. He has a high floor but buyer beware.
Auston Matthews TOR vs. CGY ($7900): For $1,000 less than McDavid, Matthews is possibly just as chalky, however relying on ownership projections he is the lock of the night. The Flames play a fast-paced style. Vegas likes this to be a shootout, and his points per game average is better than McDavid. Play him.
Sean Monahan, CGY at TOR ($7500): The current projected ownership for Monahan is higher than the aforementioned chalk plays. Monahan is due to bounce back this game and is a solid choice. Just be aware you will not be the only one on him he looks to be very popular tonight.
High Value Centers
Adam Henrique ANH vs OTT ($4700): What has he done since being trade last week to the Ducks? Only pick up at least one point in each game since being acquired. This guy has a just over a 10 fantasy point average per game on the season and is due to light the lamp soon.
Matt Duchene, OTT at ANH ($4600): The Senators have been in town awaiting the game while the Ducks who lost in overtime last night in Vegas, will be playing a back to back with tired legs. Duchene will be around 11 percent owned tonight and his upside for the price makes him a lock. Make your lineups with the chalk but have some shares of Duchene who has a ceiling of 48 fantasy points.
Valtteri Filppula, PHI at EDM ($3600): With seven goals and six assists on the year to go along with 26 blocked shots, he fills up the stat sheet to give you a decent floor. Filppula has had some huge fantasy nights this season which includes the last game out. Ride this low-owned value play to the bank. If you play him tonight you might be the only one with him in your lineups.
