Report: Josh Rosen to enter 2018 NFL Draft

UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen will reportedly skip his senior season and throw his name into the hat for the 2018 NFL Draft.

To the surprise of virtually no one, UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen has reportedly made a decision on his immediate future. According to a report from Walter Football, the junior Bruins signal-caller has indeed decided to skip his senior season in Los Angeles and enter the NFL Draft. It’s expected that he will be one of the top picks at the event come next spring.

Rosen arrived at UCLA three seasons ago with all the hype in the world as one of the top quarterbacks coming out of high school. He was expected to bring UCLA some hardware during his tenure there, and maybe even take a Heisman to the NFL with him. However, none of that ever came to fruition as Rosen battled injuries and some shaky play at times.

Still, he wasn’t terrible by any means for the Bruins. This past season, his last for UCLA, the young man that has been dubbed “The Rosen One” threw for 3,717 yards and 26 touchdowns to 10 interceptions. He completed 66.9 of his passes as well.

While Rosen didn’t perform at the level in college many thought he would, he’s still projected to be a top pick in the draft because of the physical tools he carries along with him. Most NFL scouts are of the belief that he’s an exceptional talent that can be molded into something great down the line, and some team will pull the trigger on that experiment near the top of the order.

With the college football season coming to a close, the NFL Draft field is beginning to take its shape. Rosen is the latest to enter the fold, so now we just wait to see if fellow quarterbacks who are expected to be top picks in Wyoming’s Josh Allen and USC’s Sam Darnold will join him.

UPDATE: Rosen has taken to Twitter to refute the reports that he’s leaving.
