Baker Mayfield

Quarterback, Oklahoma

The Jacksonville Jaguars have had an incredible season, and with a win on Sunday, they can clinch a playoff spot. It has been an incredible turnaround for the organization, and you have to think Tom Coughlin has a lot to do with bringing a winning attitude to the franchise. They are pretty loaded on both sides of the ball, and will be a tough out for anybody they play during the playoffs this season.

When it comes to the roster, there are few holes, but one hole is incredibly at quarterback. Sure, Blake Bortles has played tremendous football recently, but I do not see this franchise continuing to lean on him as the long-term solution at the position. They will likely look to make a move to upgrade the position in the offseason, and that could include them drafting a signal-caller in the first round.

This past weekend, Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield won the Heisman Trophy, capping a brilliant career that saw him walk-on twice. Mayfield would be a terrific quarterback at the next level, even though some people do not believe his talents will translate. I believe he has the drive to succeed at any level, and any comparison to a guy like Johnny Manziel is absolute nonsense at this point. He can help the Jags win, and win for a long time.
