Is Star Wars: The Last Jedi in IMAX? We let you know if you can see the new Star Wars film in IMAX, and how to get Star Wars: The Last Jedi IMAX tickets.

Is Star Wars: The Last Jedi in IMAX? As you’re headed out to see the latest film in the franchise this weekend, ostensibly you’ll want to see it in the premium format. After all, a blockbuster film ought to have a blockbuster presentation, right?

So it’s probably not a surprise that yes, there are The Last Jedi IMAX showings. This movie needs them, considering the immense scope of the film and the countless special effects that fans know will be in it. We want to see the Resistance battling the First Order in full sci-fi glory. That means we deserve crystal clear picture and earth-shattering audio.

But do you know how to get Star Wars: The Last Jedi IMAX tickets? You’ll want to go to the IMAX website and from there, you can find a theater near you that’s showing the film in that format and purchase tickets online.

If you really want sensory overload, IMAX is offering both The Last Jedi IMAX and The Last Jedi IMAX 3D presentations. Tickets are available for both IMAX and IMAX 3D through the same link above.

Which leads us to an important caveat: fans who are aiming to go to the advance screenings on Thursday night should be aware that some movie theaters are only offering The Last Jedi IMAX tickets in 3D for the Dec. 14 shows.

Regular IMAX (or as they call it, IMAX 2D) will be available everywhere starting opening day, Dec. 15. Enjoy your premium format screenings and make sure to get extra popcorn, because you’re not going to want to get up once the movie starts!
