John Dorsey talks epic smack about Sashi Brown
Cleveland Browns general manager John Dorsey is not mincing words when talking about his feelings toward Sashi Brown and the old regime.
The Browns have been dysfunctional since coming back into the NFL as an expansion team in 1999. The organization has rifled through coaches, quarterbacks and general managers, and now, it’s John Dorsey’s turn i the later category.
On Thursday, Dorsey turned some heads when he went on record in a scathing interview that included a trashing of the former general manager, Sashi Brown. Dorsey was candid, saying that Brown didn’t bring in “real players,” seemingly stating the obvious. Brown was 1-27 during his time at the helm, and might have put together the second 0-16 team in NFL history. The Browns have three games to save him from that distinction.
Dorsey has some clout. He took over the Kansas City Chiefs i the role of general manager back in 2012, with the franchise coming off a horrid 2-14 campaign. Kansas City immediately turned it around following Dorsey’s trade for Alex Smith, going 11-5 and making the playoffs in 2013. In Dorsey’s four years with the Chiefs, they won the AFC West once and went to the postseason on three occasions, winning their first playoff game in 22 years.

In fairness to Brown, he has some building blocks in house with the three first-round selections of Myles Garrett, David Njoku and Jabrill Peppers from this spring. Still, Cleveland has been rancid for some times, and if Dorsey can rebuild this franchise, he deserves a statue outside of the stadium.
