In a huge AFC West matchup on Saturday night, the Kansas City Chiefs will play host to the Los Angeles Chargers with first place on the line.

The Saturday night matchup between the Los Angeles Chargers and Kansas City Chiefs should be a good one, as they will battle it out for first place in the AFC West.  The Chargers have been one of the hottest teams in football since their 0-4 start, as they have won seven of their last nine games. They have a chance to match their own record as being the only team to start the season 0-4 and make the playoffs, but they will have to get past the Chiefs first.

Kansas City went into their matchup with the Oakland Raiders this last Sunday as losers of their last five games, but they turned that around against the Silver and Black. The offense was rolling behind star rookie running back Kareem Hunt, and the defense actually showed up for once. Newly acquired Darrelle Revis was a beast at cornerback, as the Chiefs held the Raiders scoreless until less than nine minutes left in the fourth quarter.

Kickoff begins at 8:30 p.m. ET, and it will certainly be a good one. The Chargers have a lot of people thinking they could make a deep run in the playoffs, as they have the talent on both sides of the ball to do so. Kansas City started the season out as the best team in the AFC, but after that 5-0 start, they have lost six of their last eight games, and are desperately trying to hang on in the West.

They have been by far the most dominant team in the division over the last couple of seasons, and would like another shot at the playoffs. We will see if the Chargers are for real on Saturday, as they have been some pretty bad teams during their run to 7-6 thus far.
