Cowboys at Raiders: Preview, prediction, odds and pick
By Brad Weiss
In a Sunday Night Football battle inside the Oakland Coliseum, the Dallas Cowboys will head to the Bay Area with their playoff hopes still alive.
The Dallas Cowboys kept their playoff hopes alive this past weekend, as they went into Metlife Stadium and destroyed their division rival, New York Giants, 30-10. Quarterback Dak Prescott has his best game in a while, and backup running back Rod Smith found the end zone via the pass, and on the ground. If they play the way they did on Sunday, they should be able to make a run towards a Wildcard.
On Sunday night, Dallas will head to Oakland to take on the Raiders, who are also looking to stay alive in the playoff hunt. The Raiders were actually tied with the Kansas City Chiefs for first place in the AFC West when the two teams met up last weekend, but they were embarrassed on the road. The Chiefs got off to a 26-0 lead through four quarters, as the Raiders offense continued to sputter under new offensive coordinator Todd Downing.
A loss for either team would likely signal the end of their playoff run, so expect this one to be a very competitive game. Oakland is always a tough place to play, and quarterback Derek Carr usually plays his best football with the brightest of lights on him. The Cowboys are nearing the return of star running back Ezekiel Elliott, who is serving a six-game suspension, but they need to win out if they want his return to mean anything next week.

The Raiders get back on track in this one, as they come away with a huge victory in front of their home fans. Dallas looked a lot better last weekend, but they were playing against the New York Giants, who are a joke at this point. Oakland has to be fired up after being embarassed by the Kansas City Chiefs last weekend, and they will keep their playoff hopes alive on Sunday night.
Final Score: Raiders 28 Cowboys 24
