Bryce Love

Running Back, Stanford

In Week 15, the New England Patriots had the daunting task of going into Heinz Field to take on the red-hot Pittsburgh Steelers. The Patriots were coming off a rough loss on the road in a Monday Night Football matchup with the Miami Dolphins, and had a short week to prepare for the Steelers. In true Patriots fashion, they went into Heinz Field and beat the Steelers, moving to the top spot in the AFC.

If they can win out, the playoffs in the AFC will go through Foxboro, and that is never a good thing for the rest of the conference. The Patriots will likely make another run towards the Super Bowl this playoff season, which means they will be drafting late in round one. New England does not always keep their first round picks, but they may want to hang onto it and select Bryce Love from Stanford.

Love is a special running back, and he could wind up being a very good player at the next level. The Patriots are always using a bunch of different backs, but Love could give them some stability at the position. He has proven to have tremendous heart during his time with the Cardinal, playing through injuries, and those are just the kind of players head coach Bill Belichick likes to bring into the fold in New England. If they keep the pick, Love is a great selection here.
