FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 25, 2017
High Salary PF
Ben Simmons, PHI at NY ($9,400): Simmons enters this game pretty cold, having been held to below 30 fantasy points in each of his last two games. The Raptors are one of the best teams in the league, so maybe that can be forgiven, but the Sixers are certainly struggling right now. The Knicks are 27th against power forwards in their last 15 games, although Simmons acts more like a point guard. They are 26th against point guards. I expect Simmons to be back at value in this contest, which means around 40 fantasy points. ***
Kristaps Porzingis, NY vs PHI ($8,800): After posting a miserable 6.5 fantasy points in 23 minutes against the Celtics, Porzingis bounced back with 45.8 fantasy points against the Pistons. He’s been inconsistent in the last month thanks in large part due to injuries. We know what what he’s capable of and he has an advantageous matchup, The Sixers are 23rd against the position in their last 15 games and Joel Embiid is unlikely to play a lot of minutes. He’s a bit risky, but he should be around 40 fantasy points. ***
Draymond Green, GS vs CLE ($8,600): Green has been within two points of value in his two games since returning from injury. His minutes have been monitored a bit, but he should see a heavy workload against the Cavaliers. Green puts up numbers in all categories, but doesn’t overwhelm in a single category. His defensive ability certainly increases his overall value. The Cavaliers are 28th against the position in their last 15 games. Look for Green to have a big game because he relishes the opportunity to play LeBron James and the Cavaliers. ****
