Utah Jazz

The Jazz picked up a win at home over the Spurs, who were on the second night of a back-to-back. Rodney Hood got hot and scored 29 points, and the two teams slogged their way to the finish line of that game. They dropped their other three games this week, losing to the Rockets and Thunder twice. Donovan Mitchell missed two games in the middle of the week, but returned for the second game against the Thunder to score 29 points. The Jazz have two road games, one against the Nuggets and the other against the Warriors, on a back-to-back, and then host the Cavaliers for their final game of the month. While they’re a game ahead of the Clippers in the standings, there is a real chance that they could be out of playoff contention following a four-game road trip at the beginning of January, which is about the time that Gobert is tentatively scheduled to return to the lineup.
