DraftKings European League Basketball Picks December 28

More from DraftKings

DraftKings has brought the Euro League state side! They even have an app where we can watch the games that our picks are involved in! What I want to know is how long before Fox Sports starts airing these games live? Make it happen already!

The Euro league is a different animal. It is much more halfcourt oriented than the NBA game. The games are also eight minutes shorter. There are 16 teams in the Euro League instead of 30. That means a more shallow player pool to choose from!

Round 15 of the Euro League season kicks off with most of the value picks taking the court tonight. There is also the opportunity to pay up for studs if you wish.

If you would like to try DraftKings for the first time, use this link for the referral bonus! It is good for $10 in DraftKings dollars! We have plenty of advice on the site to help you turn that into a solid bankroll!

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – AUGUST 09: Player Mickael Gelabale of France contests the ball with Nemanja Nedovic of Serbia during a Men’s round Group A basketball match between Serbia and France at the Carioca Arena 1 in Rio de Janeiro on August 9, 2016 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Guards:

Nemanja Nedovic ($10,600): Usually I like to try to stack the late game, but Unicaja against Tel Aviv is too good to pass up. Some will be off of Nedovic because he struggled from the field against Milan in round 14. I am moving down from Doncic because of his tough matchup against Feberhace Istanbul today. Nedovic looks like a bit of a low owned target with a chance to come up big. Nedovic still picked up 18.75 DraftKings points despite his struggles from the field.

Pierre Jackson ($10,000): If I weren’t so sold on Nedovic having a nice comeback game, I would go with both Jackson and Norris Cole against Unicaja. Guards are going to be on full display in this game. I like the prospects of both backcourts here since neither defends the other very well.

Vassilis Spanoulis ($8,800): I’m still on Spanoulis despite a somewhat under par performance against Efes. Let’s be real….it wasn’t a bad game. Spanoulis still came up with 23 DraftKings points. We were just expecting better against a poor guard defense. Today Spanoulis gets the third worst guard defense in Zalgiris. If you play Doncic, you can still put Spanoulis in there without compromising the rest of your lineup.

Matt Lojeski ($4,900): Calathes will not be able to return for round 15 as previously thought. That means more run for Lojeski, Nick Pappas, and Lekavicius. I prefer the solid floor of Lojeski over playing roulette with the other two. Pappas probably has the higher upside, but the lowest floor.

There are several other value options that I have my eye on at guard today. If you play Doncic or the entire Unicaja backcourt, you will need at least one of Ray McCallum, Deandre Kane, or Janis Strelnieks. They are all about the same price, and all have good matchups. Kane has the most upside, but has been really inconsistent. Strelnieks has not been the same with Spanoulis back either.

WINSTON-SALEM, NC – FEBRUARY 28: James Gist #15 of Maryland Terrapins celebrates after a 74-70 victory over the Wake Forest Demon Deacons during their game at Lawrence Joel Coliseum on February 28, 2008 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. (Photo by Streeter Lecka/Getty Images) /

Forwards:

My forward stacks are going to have to do with the value of the Real Madrid frontcourt with Gustavo Ayon and Anthony Randolph out. It looks as though Rudy Fernandez is still going to be out as well, so there is a ton of value in a good matchup. I also like Athens with Calathes out. The frontcourt has taken over a bulk of the scoring.

James Gist ($9,700): Gist has outplayed Chris Singleton in two of the last three games. This is purely a play to save some money so I can afford a better guard. Singleton has higher upside, but Gist has been right there with him over the last four or five rounds. If you decide to play value at guard, I would use both Gist and Singleton.

Trey Thompkins ($8,500): Okay, so I can’t really call Thompkins a value play since his price has jumped $5,200 in six weeks. It has risen $2,000 just in the last ten days! Thompkins has six straight games with more than 20 DraftKings points. The last three have been 27 or more. You can’t say that he hasn’t been worth the price.

Walter Taveras ($6,100): I toyed with the idea of using Felipe Reyes as well, and just rocking the whole Real Mardrid starting frontcourt. Taveras has had better upside than Reyes lately. Both play about the same number of minutes. It just seems to me that Taveras gets a few more looks.
