High Salary C

Karl-Anthony Towns, MIN vs DEN ($10,500): Towns has posted exactly 48 fantasy points in two of his last three contests, which includes the Dec. 20 matchup against the Timberwolves. With the Nuggets on a back-to-back, Towns should be able to take advantage of their potentially tired legs with his size and athleticism in the paint. Towns is always good for double-digit points and rebounds, it’s just a matter of how many points he’s able to get and whether or not he can chip in defensively. ****

Nikola Jokic, DEN at MIN ($9,100): Jokic was ejected from Tuesday’s contest against the Jazz, but he was unlikely to see big minutes as that one was over by halftime. He finished with 30.9 fantasy points in 26 minutes. He had 31.2 fantasy points against the Timberwolves a week ago, which isn’t a great sign given the matchup. The Timberwolves are last against the position in their last 15 games. Jokic should be around 40 fantasy points on Wednesday. ****

Kevin Love, CLE at SAC ($8,400): Love had 36.1 fantasy points against the Kings back on Dec. 6. That number would put him slightly over value on Wednesday. Given how the Kings were dominated on the boards by the Clippers, I’m expecting big things from Love in this one. He can score in a variety of ways and collect rebounds with the best of them. The Kings will probably play a bit better given that they are at home, but this is a bad team against a LeBron James-led squad. Love is primary beneficiary of James’ ability. *****
