The Houston Rockets are playing great basketball, and superstar guard James Harden is feeling festive this holiday season.

Housotn is playing lights out to start the NBA season, sporting a 25-7 record. The mark is good enough for second in the Western Conference behind the Golden State Warriors, who sit at 28-7.

All that said, James Harden is once again having an MVP-like season. The Beard is shooting 45.6 percent form the field and leading the Rockets with better than 32 points per game. At this point, Harden would absolutely be a finalist for the MVP honor, as he was last year before losing out to Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook.

On Thursday night, the Rockets are taking on Kyrie Irving and the Boston Celtics, and Harden has a little something extra for the national audience. Although Christmas was a few days ago, the 28-year-old Californian is in the holiday spirit with these sweet kicks.

When you are winning 75 percent of your games, you can have some fun like this. The Rockets have to be thrilled with the revamped lineup they have, led by Harden, Chris Paul and Eric Gordon. Houston is now the favorite to win the Southwest Division over the San Antonio Spurs, who trail the Rockets by 2.5 games.

Boston has been struggling after starting off white-hot, falling to 28-10 after going just 5-5 in its last 10. The Celtics still hold the top spot in the Eastern Conference and should win the Atlantic Division easily, with the Toronto Raptors as the competition.
