The Miami Dolphins are going to miss the playoffs, but there is some good news on the horizon with Jarvis Landry saying he wants to stay put.

With the end of the NFL regular season only a few days away, the Dolphins know that it’s time to pack up their gear and hit the golf course for the next few months. However, one Dolphins player who should be very interested in the coming months is wide receiver Jarvis Landry.

Landry, the 25-year-old product of LSU, is hitting unrestricted free agency for the first time in his career. The former second-round pick is going to be one of the biggest names on the market, capable of commanding $10-12 million per year as an asking price.

All that said, Landry is talking and his words are linking him back to the Dolphins. After spending four years in Miami, Landry believes that staying in South Beach would be the best move for him if the two sides can work out a deal. Per Chris Perkins of the Sun-Sentinel:

"“Of course,” Landry said. “I love Miami. My family’s here in Miami. The fan base is here in Miami. The relationships, this building, this organization, I want to be here. I’ve always believed in being a guy that plays for one team. With that, I hope that opportunity presents itself. But obviously getting what you deserve and everything, this is what I work for. So we’ll see.”"

Landry has amassed more than 100 catches twice in his career including 103 through 15 games in 2017. Since entering the NFL, Landry has never had less than 84 receptions and with 105 yards on Sunday, would have three consecutive seasons of 1,000+ yards.
