The Detroit Lions will look to move their home record to 4-4 this season on Sunday, as they welcome division rival Green Bay to Ford Field.

During the 2016 NFL season, the Detroit Lions controlled the NFC North for nearly the entire campaign. However, Aaron Rodgers then went on to tell everybody to relax, and proceeded to turn the Green Bay Packers season around. What ensued was an incredible run to the division title, which was decided in Week 17, when the Packers beat the Lions, sending Detroit to the Wildcard.

Well, the 2017 matchup to end the regular season will have a lot less drama, as both teams have been eliminated from playoff contention. Rodgers broke his collarbone nine weeks ago, and despite making a valiant effort to come back and lead his team on another run, the Packers ended up losing to Carolina in his return. The loss ended their playoff chances, and Rodgers was placed back on injured reserve.

For Detroit,  they had to beat the lowly Cincinnati Bengals last weekend to keep their playoff dreams alive, but they were instead trounced by one of the worst teams in the league. Still, they have a ton of passion this team, and you have to believe they will be able to get up to play their division rival. Green Bay ruined their shot at a division title last season, and do not think for one second the Lions have forgotten about that.

Odds

Line: Detroit Lions (-7.0)

Over/Under: 43.0

The Lions will come into  this game as pretty heavy home favorites, as they are giving the Packers seven points. The over/under is set at 43.0 points, and with how bad the Packers offense looked last weekend, you may want to take the under in this one. This line will change a lot throughout the week, so head on over to OddsShark.com for any changes up until kickoff.

The Lions still have a ton of firepower on offense, and should be able to move the ball against the Packers defense. Stafford is having another tremendous year, and while they may not cover the seven points, they should win this one by at least a field goal. Look for the Lions to win this game at home, finishing up with a 4-4 record inside Ford Field in 2017.

Final Score: Lions 24, Packers 20
