2018 NFL Mock Draft: Baker Mayfield to Bills
By Brad Weiss
The Rose Bowl game between the Georgia Bulldogs and Oklahoma Sooners was filled with some of the best talent in college football. However, when you looked out onto that field, the best player in that game was not named Baker Mayfield, or even Nick Chubb. The best player was a linebacker on the Georgia Bulldogs, who has now put together two dominant efforts in his team’s biggest games.
After being named the MVP of the SEC Championship Game, Roquan Smith put on a show against Oklahoma. The Sooners came into the game with one of the more high-powered offenses in college football, but Smith shut them down when it counted. He is going to be a first round selection by some team next April, and the Tennessee Titans would get a steal this late in round one.
The Titans snuck into the playoffs this season, and the odds are they will be a one-and-done. Tennessee has to go into Kansas City to play the Chiefs, and they do not have enough talent on defense to get the job done in this one. If they draft Smith next April, they would have dominant player in the middle of their defense, and this young Titans team is only going to get better each season.
