2018 NFL Mock Draft: Baker Mayfield to Bills
By Brad Weiss
The Jacksonville Jaguars have been one of the best teams in all of football all season long, though they have had issues with the most important position. Throughout the year, quarterback Blake Bortles has been wildly inconsistent, and you have to wonder if his time in Jacksonville is coming to a close. It may be time to draft their next starting quarterback, and luckily for the Jags, this draft class has a bunch of them.
One such name is Lamar Jackson, who has been a record-breaking quarterback during his time with the Louisville Cardinals. Jackson won the Heisman Trophy last season, and some may argue that he had an even better campaign in 2017. While people are going to scrutinize how his skill set will translate in the NFL, he will likely go in the first round, and the Jaguars would be a nice landing spot for him.
The Jaguars have so much talent on defense, and their running game is also solid. That would enable Jackson to come in and start right away, being that they have talent on both sides of the ball to win double-digit games. If Bortles somehow turns it around and leads this team to a Super Bowl win, this pick would change, but that does not look likely from what we have seen thus far in his short career.
